Returning Customer

Already a Thinking Maps user? Great.
Here’s what’s next.

You already know Thinking Maps is a journey. Where you go next depends on your goals, student and teacher needs, and the strength of your current implementation. First things first:

How long has it been since your last Thinking Maps training?

Are you ready for more?

Now is a great time to take stock of your current implementation and plan your next steps.

Some questions to ask:

  • Are a large majority of your teachers using the Maps consistently and correctly in the classroom?
  • Are a large majority of your staff utilizing Thinking Maps as a visual language integrated into their instructional practice?
  • Have you achieved your initial objectives for your Thinking Maps training?

If you answered "no" to any of the above

You might want to consider some refresher training. Talk to your Thinking Maps Representative about your options.

If you answered "yes" to all of the above

Congratulations! You’re ready to take the next step.

First, are you using the Thinking Maps Learning Community (TMLC)?

Let’s think about a refresher

A lot has changed since you implemented Thinking Maps. We continuously revise and update our training to better meet the needs of today’s teachers and educational leaders.

We recommend a whole-school refresher if one or more of the following is true:

  • Your implementation did not include the 2nd Edition of the Thinking Maps: A Language for Learning teacher’s guide.
  • You have had significant staff turnover since you implemented Thinking Maps.
  • Many of your initial teacher leaders have moved on or are no longer actively engaged with your Thinking Maps implementation.
  • Your leadership has changed since you implemented Thinking Maps.
  • Few teachers are using the Maps consistently and correctly in the classroom.

Contact your Thinking Maps representative for refresher training options or learn more about advanced training.
